About Miss Houston Teen and Miss Houston
Miss Houston / Miss Houston Teen Pageant is a local pageant independently conducted and produced by BayStar Productions. The producer and director of the Miss Houston Pageant is an Official Recruiter to MISS TEXAS USA® and MISS TEXAS TEEN USA®.
After being crowned, the Titleholders embark on a year unlike anything else, receiving exciting prizes and services, as well as the honor of representing the Greater Houston Area in the MISS TEXAS USA® pageant or MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® pageant (subject to meeting all the eligibility requirements).
The Titleholder becomes a representative of the pageant for one year, meeting many new people, participating in official charity and social events, potentially appearing on television, and getting the education, experiences and values to help fulfill her future career goals.
The Miss Houston / Miss Houston Teen 2014 Pageant was held on April 18 & 19th at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel.
Contestants from all over the Greater Houston Gulf Coast Area competed for an estimated $20,000 in prizes. The show was hosted by Albert Soliz of San Antonio and double crown winner Nicole O’Brian Lassiter, MISS TEXAS TEEN USA ® 2000 and MISS TEXAS USA® 2003. Ms.Brigette Kirkconnell produced and choreographed the exciting event. Entertainment was provided by award winning professional dancers from Fred Astaire Studios, Alexandra Dane and Mihaly Meszaros.
Gracing the stage and stars of the show were the reigning Miss Houston Teen 2013, Katherine Harclerode and Miss Houston 2013, Kourtney Magnes, with a special appearance by the reigning MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2014, Kellie Stewart from Dallas. Miss Ligia De Uriarte, was crowned Miss Houston 2014 and also named as Most Photogenic!
First Runner-Up to Miss Houston and Swimsuit Specialty Award Winner was Kenda Carroll, Second Runner-Up was Thamer Kay Favor, Third Runner-Up was Lauren Adkins and Fourth Runner-Up and recipient of the JuCan Spirit Award (formerly Miss Congeniality Award) was Logan Lester.
Kelly Cleland was a semi-finalist and also winner of the Evening Gown Specialty Award and Danielle Bosley was also a semi-finalist and winner of the People’s Choice award for the Miss Division.
The Miss Houston Pageant was dedicated to the magical memory of 8 year old, Julia Tamara Cobb and proceeds from the People’s Choice Award were donated to the JuCan Foundation, raising $3785. www.JuCan.cc Kirby Lindley was crowned Miss Houston Teen 2014!
Finalists included First Runner-up and Evening Gown winner, Livia Lavender, Second Runner-up and Most Photogenic was Taylor Kessler, Third Runner-up included Rachel Gitomer, and Swimsuit Fitness Winner and Fourth Runner-up to Miss Houston Teen was Madison Lester.
From the teen contestants, her peers recognized Estella Brooks as winner of the JuCan Spirit Award (Miss Congeniality) and Estella also received the People’s Choice Award in the teen group of contestants.
Ligia De Uriarte, Miss Houston and Miss Houston Teen Kirby Lindley will represent the Greater Houston Area, if they meet all of the eligibility requirements in their respective state pageants.
